Women: Men must pay for everything

Results from a new survey have shown that more than a quarter of women said they would like it if their partner could pay for everything.

The research, carried out by, found that 28% of those questioned said they wanted to be kept a woman.

The need to have good income insurance protection was highlighted by the data that showed 50% of women accepted money for petrol, mobile phone bills, and the cost of buying appliances.

Almost a third (31%) allowed their other half to pay for clothes and trips to beauty salons.

And more than half of women (53%) said they thought their partner should contribute more to household bills if they earned more than they did.

But 82% of women who said they would not want to be a kept woman said they would find it demeaning, and 77% thought it would be unfair on their partner.

Farhad Farhadi, personal finance expert at, said: "Perhaps some women get caught up in the fantasy of living a life of luxury and having a lavish lifestyle funded by a wealthy man."
