Stowaway cat gets fright on flight

Wednesday July 1st 2015

A curious cat got more than it bargained for when it climbed aboard an ultra-light aircraft.

The feline, presumably looking for a nice spot for a nap, soon found itself hundreds of feet above the ground.

A cockpit camera caught the frightening ordeal on tape. The video, which has already received more than 75,000 views since it was posted on YouTube, shows the cat digging its claws into the aircraft's wing.

All appears to be normal as pilot Romain Jantot takes to the skies with a passenger sitting alongside him. But about 38 seconds into the clip, the moggy slowly creeps into view under the plane's left wing.

It takes Romain over a minute to notice his terrified stowaway. Shocked by what he sees, he immediately begins his descent and, after a comfortable landing, rushes to lower the cat off the wing, miraculously leaving it with all of its nine lives intact.
