Search begins for UK's best dog
Thursday November 1st 2012
Britain's Got Talent winners Ashleigh Butler and her dog, Pudsey, have officially launched the second edition of The Crufts Factor in a bid to find the UK's best dog.
The 17-year-old and her pooch are helping promote the Kennel Club's search for the next super-talented hound by inviting people to 'like' their favourite video on the Discovery Dogs' Cruft Factor Facebook page.
Miss Butler said: "Dogs have an amazing ability to learn all sorts of skills, so it is really exciting to see the launch of a competition that is solely dedicated to celebrating dogs and their talents.
"Pudsey has always adored performing and working with me as a team and it was great to give him the chance to show his skills to the nation. Crufts Factor gives all dogs the same opportunity."
The inaugural Kennel Club competition was staged at Crufts last year, with the top four dogs set to compete at London's Earls Court on 10 November to earn a spot at Crufts next year.
Recent speculation has also suggested that the winning mutt could even appear alongside celebrities in Simon Cowell's ITV1 dog talent show 'Take the Lead' in the run-up to Christmas.
