Rose checks out show's kitten cast

Wednesday August 27th 2014

Broadway debutante Rose Byrne looked like the cat that got the cream cuddling kittens during the selection process for feline roles in You Can't Take It With You last week.

The 35-year-old Australian actress, famous for starring in films Bad Neighbours and X-Men: First Class, was seen at 42nd Street Studios in New York as production staff picked kittens for the show. All cat owners, whether they want their animals to appear on the stage or in film or not, would be wise to cover the cost of vets' bills and other expenses with Pet Insurance.

Rose took a particular shine to a cute grey and white kitten, which matched her outfit for the day, including a light grey blouse.

Rose giggled as she and another actress, Annaleigh Ashford, had fun playing with the kittens.

She is a woman in demand at the moment. As well as her new stage roles, Rose is also the latest face of Australian luxury handbag company Oroton. She is seeing actor Bobby Cannavale and they have been an item since 2012.
