Puppy stolen in burglary

Thursday January 28th 2016

A puppy has been stolen in an Essex burglary. The owner of Pickle, a nine-week-old Maltese terrier, is puzzled as to why the burglars took the pooch from their West Horndon village home on Monday (January 25).

Adele Rowley says the white-haired dog had only been with her for one week, but she had already grown very close to her. Also missing Pickle is Ms Rowley's other dog, another Maltese terrier, aged three.

Pickle was stolen between 2.15pm and 3pm. A Range Rover was also taken, but this has been recovered in Luton, while the search for Pickle goes on.

Ms Rowley said: "I've only had Pickle a week but have grown really attached to her. My other dog is missing her too - her tail has been down since she was taken. I just can't understand why someone would take Pickle and need to know she is being fed and looked after.

"Please help share our appeal and if you know anything, please do the right thing and call the police." Witnesses or anyone with any knowledge of the crime can call Brentwood Police station on 101.
