Pavin 'not worried' by injuries

Friday May 21st 2010

US Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin, no doubt already covered by sports injury insurance, has said he is not worried about the sprains and breaks his team are carrying.

World number one Tiger Woods, Anthony Kim and Steve Stricker are currently ruled out of playing with different injuries.

But Pavin is confident the trio will be ready for this autumn's battle with Europe at Celtic Manor, in south Wales.

"I don't know if I keep close tabs on it," he said. "I'm aware of them, but it is early and there is a lot of time between now and then.

"My concern more for guys that maybe aren't 100% is just obviously that they get healthy. But it's nice to have a body of work going into the Ryder Cup and not just the week before or a couple of weeks before."

Pavin's team are the defending champions after beating Europe in September 2008.
