Little Ronnie to help owner in charity challenge
Wednesday April 1st 2015
A chihuahua is helping his owner take on a daily 10km challenge to raise money for a cancer charity.
Ronnie will keep his owner Luise Croxson company as she swims, cycles, runs or walks 10km every day as part of the Every Day In May challenge.
The 39-year-old, from Windsor, is doing the challenge to raise money for Dimbleby Cancer Care, with money raised going towards the charity's Care For The Future appeal, which aims to raise £500,000 so that it can expand its work when the new Guy's Cancer Centre opens next year.
Ronnie will accompany Louise for the walking and running parts of the challenge, but there will also be swimming and cycling involved.
Louise is hoping to raise £500 for the charity and has two triathlons penned in for May, which will form part of the distance. She said Ronnie will provide moral support "as long as his little legs can keep up".
Last year's Every Day In May event covered almost 9,000km, with fundraisers joining in from across the UK as well as in America, Spain and Ireland.
