Kate to attend 'Streetcat Named Bob' West End premiere
Friday November 4th 2016
Princess Kate is attending the world movie premiere of A Street Cat Named Bob, the heartwarming true story of a homeless man's relationship with his adopted tomcat.
The Duchess of Cambridge will be treading the red carpet to watch the film at Mayfair's Curzon cinema with the screening benefiting her charity Action On Addiction.
The film tells the moving, real-life story of the unlikely friendship between a young homeless busker, James Bowen, and a stray ginger cat who changes his life.
Accompanied by Bowen and, the actor who plays him, Luke Treadaway, Bob himself will also be making an appearance at the London premiere.
Bob entered the busker's life when he appears, injured, and curled up in the hallway of Bowen's sheltered accommodation.
The busker was living a hand-to-mouth existence on the streets of London and could ill-afford to feed himself, let alone a pet. Yet he decided to nurse the intelligent tomcat, whom he quickly christened Bob.
The pair soon become inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous adventures transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's troubled pasts.
