Harry Potter star reunited with dog after crash

Thursday March 23rd 2017

The actor who played Tom the Innkeeper in the Harry Potter films has been reunited with his pet dog following a car crash in Los Angeles.

Jim Tavare, who starred in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, suffered a broken leg and fractured ribs in the terrifying crash.

Now after spending two weeks in intensive care, he has been reunited with his beloved dog, Mr Kippy.

The reunion was documented on YouTube, and was all the more special as the dog had been alongside the 53-year-old actor at the time of the accident.

The dog waited to greet the actor as he was wheeled out of the hospital.

His wife, Laura captured the moment on video.

She captioned it: "Today Jim was able to get into a wheelchair for the first time and was taken outside the hospital to be reunited with his dog Mr Kippy, who was with him at the time of the accident.

"Music at the end of the clip was performed and dedicated to Jim by dear friend and talented composer Bernard Salles with the Orchestra Symphonique de Sud-Ouest."
