Get all muddy to help charity cause
Friday February 6th 2015
Dog owners are being invited to take their dogs to the first ever Muddy Dog Challenge in aid of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
The event, on May 10 in Brockwell Park, London, features obstacle courses designed for dogs and their owners, who can run, jog or walk along with their pets and overcome various challenges.
The owners and their dogs can choose to take on either a 2.5km course or another that will take them 5km. There are nets to crawl under, tyres to jump over and true to the name of the event, plenty of mud to get though.
Human competitors don't even have to take on the course with their dog, they can do it on their own or in teams.
Once signed up the owners will get a medal, T-shirt and goody bag, while the dogs will get a special bandanna.
Owners are asked to raise £100 or more through sponsorship to take part and advice is available on how to reach the target.
The money raised will help Battersea look after and find homes for dogs and cats that are lost or abandoned, according to its chief executive Claire Horton.
