Dogs treated to £10k summer party
Tuesday July 21st 2015
A pet owner from Essex has sacrificed a summer holiday in the Caribbean to throw a £10,000 party for her five dogs and their canine friends.
The lavish do saw the pampered pooches given a choice of beauty treatments before tucking into fillet steak wraps and other canapes.
The menu was rounded off with cake and a cheeseboard, washed down with a specially created range of cocktails that included strawberry "Barkbellinis" and "Muttinis".
Daniela Forshaw, who owns the Daniela's Dogs grooming service, decided to stage the bash at her Burnham-on-Crouch home after growing concerned that many owners are no longer letting their pets off their leads, reducing the opportunities they have to bond with other animals.
The 39-year-old, who has two miniature poodles, a pair of greyhounds and a beagle-basset cross, says the party gave the dogs a chance to socialise and was so successful that she has begun planning another for 2016.
