Cat found covered in concrete on doorstep

Wednesday November 25th 2015

A ginger cat is said to be recovering well after being found on a doorstep in Bristol covered in concrete.

The unlucky stray was so completely coated in the building material that he could not even open his eyes and was mistaken by rescuer Faye Richards for a bundle of parcel tape.

The 39-year-old mum-of-two took the unlucky tom to the vets, who attempted to comb the concrete out of his fur and then shaved his coat.

Faye, a medical receptionist who owns three cats herself, says the cat let her pick him up, something which most moggies would not allow strangers to do.

Ms Richards added that she felt shocked and sorry for the feline, which does not have a microchip and has not been neutered.

The cat is now being looked after by the vet who originally stepped in to treat him and is said to be on his way to making a full recovery.
