Arty Danny Mac raises cash for cats

Tuesday December 13th 2016

Strictly heartthrob Danny Mac has swapped the dancefloor for the pencil to help raise cash for cats in need.

Danny, a former Hollyoaks star, is among a group of kind-hearted celebs who have done drawings for Cats Protection, with Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson and TOWIE favourite Joey Essex also getting to work at the easel.

A Cats Protection spokesperson said the charity is grateful to the celebs for lending their artistic support.

The Celebrity Paws auction is raising money to support the charity's 250 volunteer-run branches and 32 centres with all of the drawings on eBay until December 19.

Danny's doodle was made up of paw prints and a cat drawing adorned with two animal-friendly quotes including "Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened", by French poet Anatole France.

Cat Jarvis, of Cats Protection, said: "Danny's Celebrity Paw doodle shows just how much he loves cats and animals."
