Appeal for return of stray cat

Friday May 8th 2015

A group of residents in Scotland is appealing for help locating a stray cat that has gone missing.

Jill Ritchie and her neighbours in the town of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, rescued Tabby - or Scabby as he was originally known due to his scruffy appearance - from a life on the streets a year ago.

They have been feeding him and taking him to the local vet for treatments ever since. But during a recent trip to the vet in Cathkin on April 23, he somehow managed to find a way out of his carrier and ran off.

His adoptive owners are calling on people in the surrounding areas to keep an eye out for him.

The unlucky moggy, which was having a final set of vaccinations at Taylor Veterinary Practice, is believed to have darted in the direction East Kilbride. He is a tabby cat with distinctive, fuzzy grey, white and black stripes.
